Special Report – Granny and Grandpa Time!

Your Granny and Grandpa just came for a visit. We had such a good time and you learned so many things and grew up so much more even in the short week while they were here.

Your pretty Granny loves to cuddle with you and nibble on your “tooters” (rhymes with “foot-ers”). You love her very much and feel very comfortable when you’re with her. Me too. I know I can walk away and trust Granny to give you all the love and attention a little girl could want or need. She’s very aware of your needs and always makes sure you are as happy as possible. She’s also extremely patient with you, even when she’s trying to feed you and you’re throwing food in her face – your latest unpleasant habit.

Your Grandpa can make you smile like no other. He grins at you and you glow. He makes all kinds of little noises with his lips and mouth and you find him hilarious, often trying to mimic whatever sound it is he’s making.

He gave you your first “scraped apple,” something you could not get enough of. Eventually, you grabbed the whole apple from him and tried to gobble it all up at once.

Grandpa also taught you how to climb the stairs while he was here. You’re now quite the little climber.

They also came bearing gifts – your Daddy’s old rocking chair that they re-finished special just for you, and a custom-made and decorated step-stool that you’ll be able to use for years to come.

Granny shared her Cranberry bread with you which was another big hit. You stared up at her mouth gaping for as long as I let her feed it to you.

We spent most of our time hanging out in the living room, smiling at all the cute things you do these days, and just enjoying being a family. Even though you’ve grown up quite a bit since the last time you saw them and sometimes exhibit “stranger danger” behaviors, you were never afraid of Granny and Grandpa. Within 5 minutes, you were going to them like they live next door.

And they timed this visit just right. You just started giving hugs. You were extremely affectionate with anyone willing to pick you up, giving cuddles and hugs like they were going out of style. You made us all feel very loved. Of course the feeling is mutual. Your Granny and Grandpa ADORE you, their first grandchild.

Here’s the generation shot. We can’t wait to see them again for your Birthday in just a little over a month!
