She can talk your ear off. According to her, most things in her life happened “a really long time ago when she was 3 years old.” She can floor you with how thoughtful she can be about life and by the questions she asks. She says the sweetest prayers. She has the best smile and the most beautiful golden, honey eyes. She wants to do everything perfectly and freaks out a bit when she can’t. She can be easily frustrated. She is easy to please and not particular about most things. Everything is her favorite. She is easy to bribe. She is hyper aware of any and all injuries she sustains, no matter how minor. She begins a lot of her conversations with, “I need to tell you something,” and ends most conversations with “Did you know that?” She is an attentive, fun, concerned big sister. Her shoes go on backwards a lot. She is dainty, sweet, a girly girl, but we’ve yet to find a roller coaster she’s afraid to try. She loves jewelry, dresses, crayons, crafting, dancing, having tea parties, and playing birthday party. She hides things–especially her shoes and school papers–in random places. She hasn’t figured out that she’s bigger than the little brother who loves to torment her. She can ask the same question 100 times in a row without weakening her resolve for answers. She is happy. She speaks very loudly when she’s excited. She still thinks we can’t tell where she is when she hides herself under the covers. She is brave about food. She will eat, or at least try, just about anything, but she will eat it slower than anyone else possibly could. She chooses chocolate over every other candy, every other flavor, almost every time. She is a bit spacy and a lot well-meaning and not always a perfect listener. She has to be asked multiple times to do just about everything. She frequently gets her name on the board at school for talking when she shouldn’t be. She makes everything a race, and has a hard time when she doesn’t “win.” She is outgoing and friendly, saying hello to everybody, and introducing herself and her brother to every stranger we meet. She is vibrant, interesting, full of affection and life.
She is one great day, one great year, one great surprise after another. She’s our girl, and we adore her so!
She’s FIVE. FIVE!!!!!
HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, ADELA!! XXOOXXOOXXOO
