This was so long ago. 6 Months ago. Ouch. That actually pains me. I’m doing my best to come up with a way where I won’t get so far behind updating this scrapbook. There is no way I can document everything. But I need to document something. The photos I do take, the posts I put together, the things I write, I treasure them. And it’s much, much better when I’m documenting real time, as things happen. Because you guys change so fast and my memory doesn’t work as well as I’d like it to.
Here’s what I do remember…
Dinner picnics. Since Daddy isn’t home for dinner much of the time, we started eating informal dinners outside occasionally. Adela, you love playing “picnic” with your plastic/wood food. So you get a kick out of doing it for real, with real food. Desert summer/fall nights are the best. It cools off quickly in the evenings and we took advantage of that fact.
Adela, your first days in school taught you how to trace letters. You have a leapfrog tracing tablet that allows you to practice. For a few weeks, you did it a lot. I’m throwing in your first official school picture too. So beautiful.
Awanas started up again and you were so very excited. You look so cute in your Cubby vest.
We took a day trip out to Oak Glen to check out midday light in preparation for my fall mini sessions. Adela, you were such a great helper! You stood everywhere I asked you to stand and walked everywhere with me while Daddy took care of ‘Siah. It was a good day.
We put together a box for Operation Christmas Child. I want to do this every year. It was really fun taking you shopping and letting you think about what another little girl might want for Christmas, and have you help us pick things out to put in our box.
Josiah, you became a well-groomed fella for the first time. You had your first haircut on September 26th. We took you to the lady that usually cuts Daddy’s hair. It took three of us to make it happen. Daddy to hold you, the hairdresser to trim you, and me to distract you, but it turned our really cute… er, handsomely. Adela helped a little too.
