You and your blanky, ‘Siah. Adela never became attached to anything, no stuffed animals or blankets. But you have chosen. This one. Great Grandma McIntire made it and it is absolutely and positively your favorite. You hold it in both hands in front of you. You lay it on top of you and run the tips of your fingers along the edges. You ball it up and use it as a pillow between your head and my shoulder. You throw it over your head and run around like a little giggly ghost. If we let you, you would walk around like this, with the blanky in your hands and your binky in your mouth, all the time. We try to only give you the binky when you’re going to sleep. I don’t like covering up your cute little lips, but every now and then I’ll let you do this in the middle of the day, just because it’s fun for me to watch you enjoy it.
