After December 31st, all of these photos, and the ones from previous months (one second a day of our little boy the year he was mostly two and is now newly three), will go into an album just like the one I made for his big sister when she was his age. I’m excited to have the album in my hands, to have a matching set of our two chitlins, and I’m also *very* excited to take a break from taking a photo every single day. These year long projects are worth the end results, not because every photo is brilliant, but because there are gems among them that I wouldn’t have had I not committed to attempting a photo every day this year. It forced me to think about it and take pictures I otherwise wouldn’t have. Almost every photo this month was an afterthought, not planned, not orchestrated, just done to get it done, but I still ended up with 2 or 3 that I know will make me smile for years to come and remind me of specific things about these little nuggets that I never want to forget. Because they’re growing fast, as kids do. Only three weeks to go until a new year starts fresh once again…
