This has become a tradition, the yearly post of Adela’s Easter Egg Hunt. Next year her brother might get to be involved. That freaks me out. These kids. They don’t stop growing! HERE she is last year. WHAT? Did she change that much? My jaw is gaping. And HERE she is the year before when she was newly walking. THIS is why I’m a photographer. Because we can’t get the moments back, but we CAN relive them through photos. Thank God for that comfort!
Also kind of fun to get to see side-by-side how my style changes over the years. I totally understand why photographers move their blogs and start over when they’ve gotten a few years and a couple hundred sessions of experience under their belts. It’s amazing how you never know what you don’t know until you know it. Always learning and growing. And I don’t plan on ever “arriving.” There is always room to grow. Personally, I like to see the changes over time. This business is like my *other* baby, not as important or cute or special as my living children. But it is sort of like one of my kids, and it’s fun to watch it grow and change over time too.
This is only a couple of images super quickly edited (and a few months late) because I have a ton of other blogging to do, sessions to edit, sessions to plan, emails to write…but better late than never and better a few than none, right?
Here she is, my big girl, hunting eggs in 2013.
Josiah enjoyed the Egg Hunt from Papi’s lap (my Dad.) But he got in on the action when Daddy told Adela that he’d hidden an egg in her brother’s blanket, hehe.
